Úr Brushstrokes of Blue:

Bus Stop

Click-clack-click-clack-click

And the sharp lady-sound softens in the final notes of the echo when a sudden stop is made beside a greyish lamp-post on the concrete road. And the silence creeps up quietly along the high heels and the black panty-hose under the tight black dress and wraps itself around the flexible neck that tilts the head lazily back so that the cheek touches the chilly post. Oh, she sighs, and lets her glance wander up the dead-straight pole. Out of the corner of her eye she catches sight of the last faint glimmer of night about to blend into daylight. And she lowers herself down with the pole into the concrete road and shuts her eyes tiredly.

Side by Side

Between us
the black night
under the white quilt

your red tears
stream down
my cheeks

and our kisses
already turning blue.
